Abstract

Your Free Full-Text Options For Peer-Reviewed Journals Through This Library System

Each journal publisher has their own way to access free full-text. The list below explains how to get that article. The journal itself ought to appear in the framed window below. You can always ask for a PDF copy of the articles if you're still not sure or having trouble; see #2, Document Delivery Service, below.

If the individual articles listed on that page have a PDF link that opens the full free text, and doesn't ask you to pay, you have full access at this computer. Here's some of the reasons why full-text is freely available to you:

The journal could be Open Access - check the journal title! You can access that journal anywhere, anytime.

Some journals are a mix of Open Access and Paid Subscription. If the PDF opens, great! If it asks you to pay, skip to #2, Document Delivery Service, below.

Might be available while using your school's computers or via the school's WiFi.

Might be available using the remote access you requested from the Head Librarian; contact form to request access.

Document Delivery Service - Request a PDF copy of individual articles from any magazine or journal under Fair Use policies. Send the title of the journal and the article title to the Head Librarian using the contact form. A PDF copy of the article will be sent by email in 1 to 3 business days, though generally only 1 business day.

Be aware that under Fair Use, you can only use the provided articles for your own scholarly purposes, and may not sell the article. Also, do not give the PDF article (electronic or printed) back to the school or employees; they have their own Fair Use policies.
